Single (born to a yearling)

carries Solid and possibly Spotting

NORD-05J "Whitie" White, horned, single (born to a yearling).  Born 5-17-99.  Sire BLW-137H "Aslan", Dam BLW-118H "Fallegar".  "Whitie" is a very white ram with a strong libido like his sire.  His snow white appearance may be expressing spotting as sometimes a snow white lamb that is white may have two white pattern genes (known as homozygous white).  This is not possible as  his dame is a spotted badgerface.  The other possibility is that he is showing spotting which subtracts color.  When this is combined with white it will appear bright white.  He is nicely horned with good clearance and a tight curl.  He appears to carry either Solid as a pattern from his mother which is her recessive pattern.  He also carries Moorit from his mother and maybe from his dad.

To the best that we can tell Whitie's genetic make up is as follows:

Color: Black Moorit
Pattern: White Solid
Spotting: ? ?

Sire: BLW-137H "Aslan" White, strongly horned, twin. Born 4-21-98.  Sire BLW-08F "Big Horn", Dam STS-45A "Shy Girl".  He is a big bold ram that rules the farm. He has a very assertive style but will still come up to you to get petted under his chin.  Although Aslan's Father was Black he also carries moorit.   His sire is "Big Horn" BLW-F08, the lead ram at Jager Farm Icelandics and like his dad is big and square.  All of his offspring inherit his strong horns and is useful for improving the horning of lines with weak horns.

Dame: BLW-118H "Fallegar" spotted moorit badgerface, horned, twin.  Born 4-16-98.  Sire BLW-66G, Dam STS-118D "Mae".  She had "Whitie" last year as a ewe lamb and this year had twins, a ram and a ewe.  She carries solid as a pattern.

Because of the quality of Aslan's lambs we kept Whitie his son.  If you are interested in the offspring of any of our ewes let us know and we will let you know who we are breeding to Whitie!  We will then send you info and pictures of the lambs this spring.
