STS-620F is a big blocky ram that has a beautiful spotting pattern. He was used as one of Yeoman Farms terminal rams for the last two years and this year went to Jager Farm Icelandics. If you want to know what genetics are hidden in your ewes breed them to a solid moorit spotted ram as solid as a pattern is recessive to all others, moorit is recessive to black, and spotting is recessive to non spotting.
STS-620F's genetic make up is as follows:
| Color: | Moorit | Moorit |
| Pattern: | solid | solid |
| Spotting: | yes | yes |
We have bred him to:
BLW-57G "Elska" White, widely horned, twin. Born 4-16-97. Sire STS- 189D, Dam STS-123C. "Elska" is sweet and friendly and has wide strong horns from both her parents. She had a single as a ewe lamb (at 11 months) and had a set of twins this last year. She has a huge rumen that apparently translates to rich milk as her lambs grow very well. This year she had twins:
On April 21, 2000 Elska gave birth to twin white ewes, NORD-14K and NORD-15K. These are beautiful girls. NORD-14K has a picture perfect wide strong hornset . NORD-15K is polled. The sire was horned but came from a mixed horned/polled background so one ewe is horned, the other polled. Either one when bred to a horned ram could give horned lambs but the polled one when bred to polled will probably produce polled.
One is bright white and the other has tan on her face and legs. Either one would make a great foundation ewe. Because they carry moorit, spotting and solid as a pattern they will be excellent to cross to another patterned ram as solid is the most recessive pattern type. Also note our 50% off special on all rams when buying 2 ewes.
On April 27, 2000 Angelica gave birth to a big beautiful single white ewe, "Angelina" NORD-18K. This new ewe lamb was born just one day before her mother turned one year old! "Angelina" carries moorit, spotting and solid or gray as a pattern.
Angelica is a very protective mother and stays with her lamb apart from the other ewes. Because of this attention her lamb is growing very fast. "Angelina" has a fine curly fleece that is all white except for a grapefruit sized patch of tan phaelomelanin across the back of her neck and shoulder blades. The lamb is polled as the sire was weakly horned (with polled in his background) and Angelica is polled. Because "Angelina" carries moorit, spotting and either gray or solid, she would be a really nice choice for a starter flock. Our prices on lambs by ewe lambs is also very affordable and a real bargain.
*- We do not own this ram but he can be found at Jager Farm Icelandics . He was used as stud and was bred to our "Elska" and "Angelica".
