"Mocha"- BLW-152H, born 4/24/1998, Moorit, single, scurs.  He is a dark moorit with alot of various golden shades in his fleece.  He has a good big beefy confirmation and is very calm and tame.  While he holds his own in the ram pen, he is never a bully.  He was not bred by us last year as we got him after breeding season but his bloodlines are excellent.  His grandsire is "Mocum" STS-3D a favorite sire at Tongue River Farm.

To the best that we can tell Mocha's genetic make up is as follows:

Color: Moorit Moorit
Pattern: Solid Solid
Spotting: No No

Dam: BLW-F19 "Silky Badger", moorit badgerface, polled, twin. Beautiful, very fine silky fleece.

Sire: SRX-G112 "Jake", dark moorit, scurs, triplet. His bloodlines are excellent as his granddam is "Saddleback" of Yeoman Farm in Ontario, Canada.  His grandsire is "Surtur", Jager Farms largest breeding ram.

"Mocha" was used as a terminal sire this year as we bought him at the end of breeding season last year.  We were anticipating good things from him as he comes from such good lines.  His lamb fleece was one of the prettiest softest fleeces ever and carded into a mountain of beautiful multishaded cloud.  Unfortunately shortly after breeding was over he got into a fight with one of our other rams when they were being reintroduced after breeding season and received a serious blow to the head which he died from later that day.  He was a beautiful gentle ram with an abundant knockout fleece.  We were thrilled when "Birgit" gave birth to twin moorit badgerface lambs on 4/24/2000, a ram and a ewe.  This will continue his bloodline and remind us of him.

We had bred him to:

BLW-195H, "Birgit" born 5-8-98, twin, black badgerface, polled. A lovely, short-legged square ewe.  Carries moorit and spotting. She is shy and has a sweet disposition but is a very devoted mother who doesn't let her lambs wander off.  She has a very soft fleece as both of her parents have extra soft fleeces.  On 4/24/2000 she gave birth unassisted to a gorgeous pair of moorit badgerface twins, a ram and a ewe.
