FFC-050J Grace: Jet black twin polled. Carries moorit. Holding her dark color well so far. Good udder. She had a very nice single lamb last year as a ewe lamb at 11 months. She carries moorit, solid, and spotting. Her mother is "Grey Girl" of Frelsi Farm in Limerick, Maine and is one of their best ewes.
To the best that we can tell Grace's genetic make up is as follows:
| Color: | Moorit | Black |
| Pattern: | Solid | Solid |
| Spotting: | ? | ? |
Sire: BLW-49G, "Gunnar", Gray Moorit (M2P), twin. Dam STS-49B, Sire BLW-078D. Gunnar is a big, beautiful moorit/grey polled twin ram at Frelsi farm and is top ram among the polled rams. Strong build with gorgeous fleece. Friendly but reserved. High libido, produces wonderful lambs with exceptionally lovely fleece.
Dame: BLW-E10 Greygirl: Polled black grey twin ewe, produces excellent fast growing lambs. Her 1998 twins were bigger than all the other lambs at weaning. Beautiful fleece. Produces both nicely horned and polled lambs. One of Frelsi Farm's best ewes. (1,1,2,2,2) (Sire BLW 78D x Dam STS 85A)Reg.#469629
Because Grace is Solid black and both her parents show gray, it means that both parents were carrying solid as their second pattern gene (which would not show as Gray is dominant to solid). So Grace is Solid black but must carry moorit as her father could only pass on Moorit but her mother passed on black which is dominant to moorit. It is not known whether either parent carries spotting.

Panda: This twin spotted black badgerface is
an AI offspring with luxurious fleece. He carries moorit as
well. He has small curved horns but has produced polled
offspring. He is shy and not aggressive. His fleece
quality carries through to his lambs.
(Sire Flekkur 89965 x Dam STS 751G)Reg.#521371 This means that Grace's lamb(s) will be either Badgerface or solid, can be moorit or black as both Grace and Panda carry moorit and will carry spotting but will not be spotted unless Grace is carrying spotting. |
*- We do not own this ram but he can be found at Frelsi Farm. He was used as stud this season and was bred to our "Grace" who we bought as a bred ewe.
On April 8, 2001 Grace gave birth to twin badgerface lambs, a moorit badgerface ram and a black badgerface ewe. Grace had been bred to Panda, a black spotted badgerface ram that was from an AI father, Flekkur. Both of the lambs have long curly fleece and will be polled like their parents. Because one of the lambs is moorit, it confirms that Grace carries moorit. Panda is one of the stud sires at Frelsi Farm in Limerick, Maine. Both Grace and her step sister Celeste were bred to Panda and bought as bred ewes to bring the best of Frelsi Farm's lines to our flock. Frelsi Farm has very nice polled lines and we look forward to Grace and Celeste improving our flock.
